LABRAL TEAR
LABRAL TEAR

Labral tears occur in the soft tissue surrounding the rim of the shoulder socket. Natural degeneration occurs from the aging process, however sudden injury may arise from falling, sudden pulls, violent overhead reaching or even sudden impacts such as falling. Symptoms similar to dislocation can make diagnosis difficult.
Rest, ice, physical therapy, and corticosteroid injections are frequently used treatments. Many surgery options also exist. Stem cell injections and prp treatments are also employed.
